Policies and Procedures

The Oconee County Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual is currently being updated, and will be posted online as soon as the work is complete. Contact Human Resources for more information. 

 


Compensation

Wages and Salaries: The normal pay period is biweekly, with payroll disbursed on the Friday following the end of the pay period. CLICK HERE for a copy of the Payroll Schedule.

 


Retirement Planning

Oconee County employees participate in either the South Carolina Retirement System or the Police Officers Retirement System, both of which are administered by the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority.  Click on the links below to access brochures containing basic information on each system.

Some employees also participate in the Teacher and Employee Retention Incentive (TERI) Program. Please note that the TERI Program is scheduled to close in June 2018, with participation and benefits being phased out.  CLICK HERE for a brochure containing an overview of the program.
